News and Current Events
3/21/04- Our busy month of March continues. The 20th Anniversary Celebration was a huge success. Thank You to all the alumni that attended and to Brother Chip Gardner for organizing the entire weekend. Derby Days were a blast; we raised over $10,000 for St. Mary's Home and the Children's Miracle Network far exceeding our expectations. All of the girls who participated did a wonderful job raising money and playing with St. Mary's kids, but special congratulations are in order to Phi Mu, this year's Derby Days Champions. We now look forward to finishing out this semester and enjoying our last few weeks with our departing Seniors.
3/9/04- We are proud to announce that our website has been selected as the featured site on the Sigma Chi National Website. We are only a few days away from our 20th Anniversary Celebration, with over 55 Brothers now confirmed, we are anticipating and amazing weekend.
2/11/04- We have just updated our alumni section of the website, we now have a list of those Brothers who have confirmed their attendance at our 20th Anniversary Weekend in March. We will continue to update this list as more people confirm their attendance.
1/1704- Having completed the school's formal rush, we are proud to announce that we have gained fifteen outstanding young men as pledges for our fall semester. We look forward to helping them grow and develop into men that we can welcome into our order. We now turn our attention to the upcoming semester and our twentieth anniversary which is quickly approaching, a complete schedule of events can be found in our alumni section of the website.
11/10/03- Our Sigma Chi Team competed in the Tri-Delta's Score of Cure for Kids with Cancer fundraiser this weekend and placed second. The event took place over two days and raised thousands of dollars for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Highlights of the weekend included winning five straight games on Sunday, including a game against the Sigma Chi Chapter from the University of South Alabama.
11/3/03- Boo's Bash was Friday this weekend and was a HUGE success. Everyone on campus had a blast with our costume contest and a very special performance from The New Lows featuring brothers Tim Burbach, Shane McKay, Danny Hicks, and Billy Turncliff. We also participated in Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash charity fundraiser; our newly initiated brother's competed in relay races, skits, and very memorable synchronized swimming routine.
10/27/03-Parent's Weekend featured our annual wine and cheese party for our parents and the little sisters. This year was one of the best turn outs we have ever had. All of the Brother's were able to meet and great with each other's parents in addition to the little sister's parents.
