Transfer Seminar: SAS 102

 

Overview

  The Transfer Student Seminar is a continued orientation to the college. The purpose is to assist new students in making a successful academic transition to SHC. The seminar will introduce the characteristics of Jesuit Education with an emphasis on academic excellence, leadership, service to others and affirmation of diversity. In a supportive small group, the instructor and the peer seminar leader interact to deliver information and suggest strategies for student success.

Attendance/Grading:    Attendance is required of all students and a grade of "CR" is earned based on attendance at all class sessions. In class participation, attendance at individual appointments, and completion of in-class or on-line assignments will also be considered . A grade of "NC" is earned for two or more absences.
