Partly in response to our Year of Solidarity, I am exploring the feasibility of developing an interdisciplinary multi-media pilot project: The Face of Poverty in Alabama, Its purpose is to create photographic and oral records in the hope of sensitizing viewers to the needs and challenges faced by those living in poverty in Alabama. Have contacted several faculty and staff to gauge interest, developed a prospectus, and contacted the Alabama Poverty Project which can provide us with much information and support.
