Assisted students in videotaping Jamnesty '04, a Battle of the Bands for Amnesty International

Acted in a regional television commercial 

New course preparation: CMM 260 Visual Communication -- nearly all lectures are in PowerPoint with many visual examples

Judged a city-wide speech competition sponsored by Alabama Power's Leadership Program

Served a one of two judges from SHC to judge the Jesuit Advancement Awards Association in conjunction with Ron Ferreri and the Development Office

Worked with PRCA/Ad Fed and the Communication Arts Department to sponsor a lecture by Andrea Foster, the Regional Director of the Federal Trade Commission

Worked with Dr. Martha Patterson to promote the Ntozake Shange lecture co-sponsored by SHC, the University of South Alabama, and the Alabama Humanities Foundation; worked with a graphic design senior to design a poster for the program 

As part of the course requirements for CMM 462 Integrated Communication Case Studies, students wrote public relations plans for the Senior Citizens Center, Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford, and the Family Counseling Center

Developed new course for non-art majors that allows students who do not think of themselves as "artistic" to have viable studio experiences

Improved technology use in classes: developed collections of digital images, worked with librarian Nancy Bolton to improve research methods and technology for ARH 312 Modern Art History students, and developed projects for other art history students to learn about legal and ethical use of internet materials and about assessing web sites

Used new text editions in ARH 312 Modern Art History and ARH498/LIS 525 Women Artists

Revised ARH 499 The Great Artists to include reading two popular novels, The Da Vinci Code and The Girl with the Pearl Earring

Studio classes created unique glasses for auction at an alumni fund-raiser

Worked to have audiovisual services set up a projector/computer/screen system for the upstairs studio areas

Went with my son Nick to Washington (DC), Montgomery (AL), and Chicago (IL) to advocate for better health care for people with handicaps
