-Revised HIS 103 America to 1876 to include numerous biographical and historical sketches that incorporated material from my forthcoming book Rebels and Renegades
-Revised HIS 499 Seminar using a topic (American Reformers and Radicals) not previously covered;  took much of the material learned in writing and publishing and incorporated it into the course to place greater emphasis on the process of writing and research
-Expanded PowerPoint presentations for HIS 104 United States Since 1876

Attended:

Visited Italy in May 2001:  Rome, Pompeii, Florence, and Venice, which are relevant to Western Civilization courses as well as several upper division courses;  bought slides and CD Rom pertaining to history of these periods;  used many of these materials in the Western Civilization courses

Substantially updated HIS 322/522 Europe Since 1945 (offered once every three years) to include new material;  incorporated a collaborative assignment (with Dr. Ralph Sandler) pertaining to Europe, the publication of the European Union

Taught two linked courses with Fr. Michael Williams:  His 101 Western Civilization to 1648 and HIS 102 Western Civilization Since 1648

Read articles in American Historical Review, Journal of British Studies, Albion, History Today, and Journal of Women’s History

Wrote the proposal for the Women's Studies minor

Selected for honorary membership in Alpha Sigma Nu

Assisted in the development of the Women's Studies program

New course development:  PSY 385 Cognition

-Helped revise the current curriculum in psychology:  helped restructure PSY 370 Learning, Cognition, and Memory into two courses, PSY 380 Learning and Behavior and PSY 375 Cognitive Psychology
-Aiding the Nursing Division in the development of the curriculum for the M.S. in Health Leadership and Communication degree
